This is a real-life account of my first night using the MountainAir™ complete system.
The MountainAir™ elevation tent I’ve installed around my bed looks just like a tent I’d use camping outdoors, with the exception of the clear walls along its sides. This is going to be quite an adventure.
I’m about to give myself a serious altitude adjustment, I think humorously as I climb into my MountainAir™. Immediately, the air feels different.
Scientifically speaking, I know there’s less oxygen inside my MountainAir™ than there is in the rest of my home, outside of the enclosure. However, science can’t fully explain all the sensations I’m experiencing.
As my body adjusts to the hypoxia of the simulated elevated altitude I remain fully aware, and a little bit nervous. Inside of the tent my body feels similar to how it felt when I recently climbed two of Colorado’s mountains that are over 14,000 feet in height. Like that experience at those extreme elevations, this is exciting and exhilarating.
As I relax into my bed, my breathing remains normal and stable. I do seem to be yawning a lot, however. The extra yawns might be because of the reduced oxygen level, but yesterday was a very long and exhausting day, and today was a normally long and exhausting day. I can sense I’ll be conking out soon.
A moment of nervousness overtakes my excitement.
I know MountainAir™ is safe, but I realize I am surrounded by a tent that is designed to deprive my body of its oxygen. This is one of the first things our parents teach us not to do as children. However, I’ve read the research on altitude and hypoxia. I also know others who have used MountainAir™, so I expel my unfounded worries from my mind.
I do one last measurement of my blood oxygen level. Everything is safe and stable. I can rest easy.
I look forward to using this awesome technology that will raise my basal metabolic rate and aid me in keeping the excess weight off. After unzipping the tent and shutting off my end table lamp, I close my eyes for the night.
And just like that, I fall into the deepest slumber that I’ve had in a long time.
I wake up the following morning feeling fresh and energized. Normally I have to fight the urge to hit my alarm clock’s snooze button and go back to sleep. Those days, I sit at the edge of my bed and let my body wake up. Not this morning. I feel great and hop right up. My body is fully rested. I’ve never been more ready to attack my upcoming day.
The most beautiful part is, this was just my first night using MountainAir™. I cannot wait to see what it’s like after one week and one month. I’ll keep everyone posted.
