The MountainAir® Automated Controller is primarily responsible for increasing the elevation inside the tent gradually. It also monitors important factors like temperature and humidity while logging your daily usage and altitudes achieved.

Before making any major lifestyle changes, including modifications to your sleep routine, you should talk to your doctor. While elevation tents have a number of benefits, they’re not recommended for people with certain health conditions. Examples include anemia, heart failure, uncontrolled hypertension, severe obstructive sleep apnea, cardiac arrhythmia, and lung disease. Women who are pregnant are also advised to stay out of elevation tents.

MountainAir® products are designed to last for years. In the event that an issue does arise, however, it won’t pose a risk while you sleep because the elevation inside the enclosure won’t continue increasing. Should something fail, the enclosure will simply revert to the ambient elevation. The automated control checks the tent’s metrics once per second, and if anything is ever out of specification, it will turn off the air unit immediately.

Our elevation tents do not require special outlets. They consume roughly 5 amps, which is less than the average toaster. As such, they can be plugged into a regular household outlet. If you use your tent for roughly eight hours a day, you can expect your electric bill to increase by $10 to $30 a month, depending on your local utility rates.
